Aloha Nursing Community from

The Hula Hoop Nurse!

Joy Replenishment through Self-Care Body Play Practices is a topic that I have spent the last 14 years of my personal and professional life exploring and building upon. With my own personal practice of hoopdance, I have come to discover first hand how body play has served as an anchor in grounding me back into my sense of purpose within my vocation as a oncology nurse and nurse educator, and has grounded me into a sense of meaning and inspiration to continue forward with my soul service in the world in serving those in need within my community.

Much of the work I offer through my vocation of nursing is serving as a fear guide, a movement guide, an interpreter, a witness, and a compassionate companion to walk the path with my breast cancer patients as they move through the shock, fear, and grief of a diagnosis of cancer. I also offer group and private Somatic Guide Sessions for nurses either in-person or virtually towards embodiment through joy replenishment body play practices.  Additionally, I offer professional guidance for Nurses aspiring to become  Nurse Entrepreneurs who are interested in weaving in their unique creative expression with their nursing education, professionalism, and experience.
